DISHA

The sound of movement around me stirs me from sleep, bringing me closer to the brink of consciousness. There’s a hush whispers not by one but more than two people. A sharp throbbing pain shoots in my head at the efforts of trying to open my eyes. The pain makes me aware of my body’s functioning organs. My heart is beating at the slowest pace possible while the stomach twists painfully, wanting me to scream in agony.
